About

David Wilson

Wilson's diligent work ethic and lengthy accomplishments have earned him a reputation as one of the finest riders and trainers in North America.  His talent as a young man earned him the opportunity to train with such classical dressage master’s as Herbert Rehbein, Harry Boldt, and Reiner Klimke, to name a few. Today, Wilson has trained over 40 horses to Grand Prix.

Wilson is widely recognized as being a great matchmaker between horses and riders. He understands the elements that make a great team. Wilson also understands that being an effective teacher is just as important as being an excellent rider. This is one reason why his students consistently succeeded in the show ring. Having been a coach for many years he has produced some of the top riders in the Western United States winning numerous Local and State Champions.

David’s long and illustrious career in the equine industry has not solely been in the field of training and sales. He also championed a successful breeding program for nearly two decades.  Standing 8 stallions, and breeding over 20 mares per year lead him to bringing a new breed registry to North America. In the late 1990’s David founded what became one of the largest breed registries in North America, Rheinland Pfalz-Saar International.  During his tenure with R.P.S.I. he also served as a member of the German Stallion Committee in Zweibrucken.

Wilson’s diversity in the equine industry is parallel to none.  Throughout his 40-year career he has been a leader in the training, sales, breeding, videography, and insurance.  He recently was also a co-founder and partner in California Dreaming Productions one of the West Coasts prior premier International Show Circuits. His never-ending quest to improve and expand has made for many exciting and successful ventures!
